Project Description: City of Seaford proposes to upgrade the front end of the treatment process and add septage acceptance and transfer facility for the existing Seaford Wastewater Treatment Facility. The upgraded pump station consists of replacing all the existing pumping equipment and installing five (5) dry-pit submersible pumps, with up to four (4) operating in parallel and one (1) stand-by. Influent will be pumped to the new grit removal system via an 18” PVC force main with piping increasing to 24” prior to structure to reduce influence velocities. This upgrade and expansion project of Seaford Wastewater Treatment Facility will be located at 403 Nanticoke Ave, Seaford.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 14 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
