Notice of Public Comment Period

In accordance with Title 40 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations, Section 271.21(b)(4), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 3, is hereby giving notice of and scheduling a thirty (30) day public comment period on its proposal to approve the State of Delaware’s revised hazardous waste management program.

Delaware has applied for final authorization for revisions to its hazardous waste program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). EPA reviewed Delaware’s application and has made a determination, subject to public review and comment, that these revisions satisfy all of the requirements necessary to qualify for Final Authorization. EPA intends to approve this authorization which addresses revisions to certain Federal rules promulgated through May 30, 2018. A full list of the revisions is provided in the Federal Register and Delaware’s complete authorization application can be viewed at www.regulations.gov under Docket ID No. EPA-R03-RCRA-2022-0280.
