The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 3 James Ct. Site located in Wilmington. The Site contained a commercial warehouse space and had been used to store vehicle parts since the 1990s. The only apparent fabricating conducted on-site was a limited brake shoe/caliper-making operation in a small room at the rear of the building. Historic fill material had been found on nearby properties.
The site will be subject to an environmental covenant which will restrict the use of the site to non-residential type uses. It will also place limitations on groundwater withdrawal.
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 3 James Ct. Site on September 5, 2021. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
