Sussex Shores Water Company has applied for a modification of its public water allocation which serves approximately 350 people annually and 12,000 people seasonally in Sussex County. The application includes ten existing public wells. The requested allocation is 1.5 million gallons (MG) per day, 45.0 MG per month, and 200.0 MG per year.
Earl Lockerman has requested an allocation permit for two proposed irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,872,000 gallons per day. The wells are located northwest of Bridgeville in Sussex County, near the intersection of Whitney Swamp and Trinity Church Roads. Tax parcel 131-4.00-22.00.
Greenbriar Associates, LLC has requested an allocation permit for two existing irrigation wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 1,150,000 gallons per day. The wells are located west of Seaford in Sussex County, near the intersection of Horse Pen Road and Stein Highway. Tax parcel 531-12.00-1.00.
Lencraft, LLC has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well, one existing irrigation well, and two proposed surface intakes. The maximum daily withdrawal is 5,040,000 gallons per day. The wells and surface intakes are located within the town limits of Millsboro in Sussex County, near the intersection of Plantation Lakes Boulevard and Millsboro Highway. Tax parcels 133-16.00-952.00, 133-16.00-73.00.
Sharon Webb has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The maximum daily withdrawal is 144,000 gallons per day. The well is located northeast of Felton in Kent County, near the intersection of Andrews Lake and Canterbury Roads. Tax parcel SM-00-129.00-02-23.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by October 7, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
