DNREC Notice No. WHS20240007

The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up the 200 and 206 Maryland Avenue Site located at 200 Maryland Avenue in Wilmington. The Site is largely occupied by a multistory building that was used for commercial purposes. This is a Revised Proposed Plan of Remedial Action based on additional information collected in 2022.

The 200 and 206 Maryland Avenue Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: the installation and maintenance of either a cap of two feet of clean fill or an impervious surface, the submittal and adherence to a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and long-term stewardship plan, and the placement of an environmental covenant that will restrict the use of groundwater.

Details of the Proposed Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov

The comment period ends on January 29, 2024. For additional information, please contact Patrick Boettcher, Project Manager at (302) 395-2600 or via email at RS_Public_Comments@delaware.gov
