Final Plan of Remedial Action for 512 S. Claymont Street (DE-0326)

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) – Remediation Section (RS) has adopted a plan to address the 512 South Claymont Street Site (DE-0326) located at 512 South Claymont Street in Wilmington, Delaware. The site is approximately 0.19 acres in size, located in an urbanized setting, and is currently vacant. Prospective use of the site is anticipated to be a green classroom, basketball court, and a playground associated with the Neighborhood House, Inc.

The 512 S. Claymont Street Site will be subject to the following remedial actions:

  • Recording of an Environmental Covenant (EC) that restricts groundwater withdrawal and restricts the property to non-residential use.
  • Request of a Certification of Completion of Remedy (COCR)

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 512 South Claymont Street Site on August 21, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan during this time frame, which concluded on September 13, 2022.
