Notice is hereby given by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control that Allan Myers DE, Inc. d/b/a Allan Myers Materials (Allan Myers) has applied for a renewal of recycling permit #SW-17/06 to accept, stockpile, and grind asphalt shingle waste, at their facility located at 22351 Joseph Rd., Georgetown, DE, for use in hot mix asphalt. Allan Myers will accept a maximum quantity of 35 tons per day of pre-consumer asphalt shingle waste which will be mixed into the hot mix asphalt made on-site for specific applications. Allan Myers will be permitted to store up to 1,500 tons of pre-consumer asphalt shingle waste, for their process, at this facility.

A public hearing on the above permit renewal will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a meritorious request for such a hearing within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice, ending June 28, 2021. A request for a hearing shall be in writing and shall state the nature of the issues to be raised at the hearing. It must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the activity’s probable impact.
