Notice has been given that:
Summit Cremation Services, LLC, requests a Natural Minor permit to construct one (1) American Crematory Equipment Co. Model A300 Crematory System at their 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Kent County facility. The A300 Crematory System will be permitted to emit 0.94 tons per year (TPY) of NOX, 0.42 TPY of SO2, 1.63 TPY of CO, 0.14 TPY of PM, 0.11 TPY of PM10, and 0.49 TPY of VOC by Permit: APC-2023/0059-Construction. Using information obtained through testing conducted and published by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department has estimated and modeled the emission rates of various trace heavy metals and hazardous air pollutants emitted from operation of the B&L Human Cremation system and determined that the pollutants do not pose a threat to the health and safety of the general public.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending June 12, 2023. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
