Mandatory inspection and maintenance of Delaware vehicles helps Delaware meet the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for ozone.

Delaware operates two separate inspection and maintenance programs, one in New Castle and Kent Counties and a more basic program in Sussex County. The proposed amendments would upgrade the Sussex County program to match that provided in the rest of the state.

DNREC staff will review this change and other updates to the program during the workshop.

This is one of two opportunities to attend this workshop. The other is at 6 p.m. on May 25.
