Join a virtual listening session to discuss Delaware’s approach to managing PFAS and other emerging contaminants.
In March of 2026, DNREC and agency partners published Delaware’s Strategic Framework for Contaminants of Emerging Concern and the 2026 PFAS Implementation Plan. The Framework and Plan, created by DNREC, the DHSS Division of Public Health and the Delaware Department of Agriculture, are intended to guide Delaware’s efforts to address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), often called “forever chemicals.” Both are posted on the PFAS in Delaware page on the DNREC website (de.gov/pfas).
The virtual community listening session is intended to gather public feedback on these plans and help inform Delaware’s ongoing efforts to address PFAS and other contaminants of emerging concern. Your feedback will help DNREC and its partner agencies better understand community priorities and inform future planning, outreach and response efforts.
No technical background is needed to participate. All Delaware residents and interested stakeholders are welcome.
Registration is encouraged but not required. Participants may register in advance to receive meeting information and updates or join directly via Microsoft Teams.
