Bring your family to a freshwater fishing pond in your county for the Delaware Youth Fishing Tournament.

The Youth Fishing Tournament, sponsored by the Division of Fish and Wildlife and the Natural Resources Police, teaches the sport of fishing and the catch-and-release approach to conservation.

The tournament will be held at one public pond in each Delaware County.

• In New Castle County, at the Lums Pond Dog Training Area, in Bear
• In Kent County, at the Akridge Scout Reservation, in Camden
• In Sussex County, at Blockhouse Pond, in Lewes

Contestants must bring their own fishing equipment. Catch and release is encouraged.

Trophies will be awarded at 1:30 p.m.

The program is free, and open to anglers aged 4 to 15. Pre-Registration is required by May 29, 2026.
