The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:
New Castle County is proposing to construct six thousand eight hundred linear feet (6,800 LF) of six (6) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main about one thousand linear feet (1,000 LF) west along Wrangle Hill Road to the South Dupont Highway (Rt. 13) intersection and then south along Rt. 13 about 1.1 miles to the Cox Neck Road intersection in New Castle County, Delaware. The purpose of the proposed force main is to service the southern portion of the Delaware City industrial area. The proposed force main is phase one of a two phase project that will ultimately include the construction of a forty thousand gallons per day (40,000 GPD) sanitary sewer pump station in phase two along Wrangle Hill Road.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before June 9, 2019. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
