The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 6725 Governor Printz Blvd Site (Site) (DE-1839) located at 6725 Governor Printz Boulevard in Wilmington. Since the early 1970s the Site operated primarily as a metal cutting fluid blending facility.
The Site requires the following remedial actions: installation of a vapor mitigation system; proper removal and disposal of impacted soils identified during concrete slab disturbance; proper removal and disposal of sludge present in perimeter drains; sealing of slab perimeter drains; compliance with a Long-Term Stewardship Plan; and recording of an Environmental Covenant (EC) restricting the property to non-residential uses and restricting well installation and groundwater withdrawal.
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the 6725 Governor Printz Blvd Site on May 5, 2024. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
