Final Plan of Remedial Action for 200 and 206 Maryland Avenue Site (DE-1217)

Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances

The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the 200 and 206 Wilmington Avenue Site located in Wilmington. The Site is largely occupied by a multistory building that was used for commercial purposes. A Revised Proposed Plan of Remedial Action was prepared based on additional information collected in 2022. The Site requires the installation and maintenance of either a cap of two feet of clean fill or an impervious surface, the submittal and adherence to a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and long term stewardship plan, and the placement of an environmental covenant that will restrict the use of groundwater.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Revised Proposed Plan for the 200 and 206 Maryland Avenue Site on January 7, 2024. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Revised Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
