The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

Kent County Levy Court to install a two (2) megawatt standby diesel generator and electrical switch gear building, to serve the Kent County Regional Resource Recovery Facility, located at 139 Milford Neck Road, Milford. The new generator will replace the existing one (1) megawatt standby generator and be located at the southwestern corner of the Facility, to the left of the main entrance.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before October 17, 2021. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
