The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:

The City of Seaford proposes to rehabilitate and upgrade an existing sanitary sewer pump station by adding two new submersible chopper pumps, a permanently installed stand-by power system, a concrete valve vault, a bypass connection, a new electrical cabinet and related appurtenances. The pump station is located at 23390 Sussex Highway at the entrance to the Seaford Village Shopping Center in Seaford, Delaware.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before October 5, 2022. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
