Notice has been given that the City of Newark has applied for a permit (WT-2023/01) to remove exterior lead-containing coatings from an outdoor water tank by dry abrasive blasting. This activity will be located at 307A Dove Dr., Newark.

The application for this permit may be reviewed online via the version of this notice posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. For additional information or for an appointment to review this application, please contact Lauren Higdon at (302) 739 9402.

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending August 21, 2023. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
