The Department has required the Mayor & Council of Middletown to submit a permit amendment request to increase the loading capacity of the Operation Permit for the rapid infiltration basins that receive treated wastewater from the Town of Middletown wastewater treatment plant. The site is located approximately 0.25 miles east of Levels Road and 500 feet southwest of the intersection of St. Anne’s Blvd and Kilts Ln, New Castle County, tax parcel #23-043.00-001.
Herring Run, LLC has applied for an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system permit. The system has been designed to accommodate 1,370 gallons per day generated by a commercial facility. The site is located on 4062 DuPont Highway, in Townsend, DE, tax map #14-016.00-127.
5609-5621 DuPont Highway, LLC has applied for an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system permit. The system has been designed to accommodate 960 gallons per day generated by a retail building and warehouse. The site is located on 5609 DuPont Highway, in Smyrna, DE, tax map #15-022.00-035.

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
