The Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. § 9107 (a)(1), requires the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to provide “public notification within 20 days after entering into negotiations for a voluntary cleanup settlement agreement with any person that agrees to perform a remedy.”
As required by § 9107 (a)(1), DNREC advises that it is negotiating a Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) Agreement with the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) regarding the Georgetown to Lewes Trails- Airport Road to Fisher Road Site, in Georgetown, (DE-1823) located as a DelDOT Right-of-Way between Airport Road and Fisher Road in Georgetown, DE, an inactive railroad right-of-way. The Site is identified as a Right-of-Way with no identified parcel number. The Site requires remedial action due to historic activities on site.
