The Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. § 9107 (a)(1), requires the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to provide “public notification within 20 days after entering into negotiations for a voluntary cleanup settlement agreement with any person that agrees to perform a remedy.”
As required by § 9107 (a)(1), DNREC advises that it is negotiating a Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) Agreement with the State of Delaware Office of Management and Budget regarding the 411 and 429 South Governors Avenue Sites (DE-1018 and DE 1792) located at 411 and 429 South Governors Avenue, Dover, DE. The Sites are identified as portions of Kent County tax parcel numbers 2-05-07709-03-4800-000 and 2-05-07709-03-3700-00001. The Sites require remedial action due to historic activities on site. For Site-specific information, please see DNREC’s Environmental Navigator at www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3.
