The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Higham’s Cleaner Site (DE-1609) located at 111 Greenbank Road in Wilmington. The Site housed a former dry cleaning operation.

The Higham’s Cleaner Site will be subject to the following key remedial actions: The submittal and adherence to a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP) and long term stewardship plan, and the placement of an environmental covenant that will restrict the site’s use and the use of groundwater.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Higham’s Cleaner Site on November 20, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
