Federal Consistency Certifications have been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program for the following:
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Watershed Stewardship proposes to use a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers individual permit to renourish Slaughter Beach on the Delaware Bay in Sussex County, DE via the truck-fill method. Approximately 40,000 cubic yards of sand material from an inland borrow source will be used to restore 4,570 linear feet of beach. The orientation of the renourishment project is from north to south extending from approximately 38.9138°N, 75.3047°W to 38.9041°N, 75.2941°W.
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Watershed Stewardship proposes to use a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers individual permit to renourish South Bowers Beach on the Delaware Bay in Kent County, DE via the truck-fill method. Approximately 28,000 cubic yards of sand material from an inland borrow source will be used to restore 1,700 linear feet of beach. The orientation of the renourishment project is from north to south extending from approximately 39.0580°N, 75.3964°W to 39.0544°N, 75.3926°W.
