The Delaware Wildlife Action Plan is a 10-year conservation strategy developed by the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife in partnership with numerous stakeholders, including federal, state and local government agencies, non-profit organizations, Delaware academic institutions, and the public. The plan assesses Delaware’s wildlife and habitats, identifies the challenges they face, and outlines actions needed for conserving them.
The plan will guide conservation efforts for the state’s wildlife and habitats through 2035.
This is one of two listening sessions to allow stakeholders, partners and the public to meet with Division of Fish and Wildlife staff and learn how to provide input on the draft plan. The other will be on Oct. 28, beginning at 1 p.m. It will be a hybrid meeting with an in-person location and a virtual option.
There will be a formal presentation, followed by a chance to ask questions. The public is encouraged to submit comments on the draft plan online after attending one of sessions.
