9 am

Location:
Kent County Administration Building
555 South Bay Rd.
Dover, Delaware
Details:

Meeting of the regulatory advisory committee formed by the Wetlands Stewardship Act.

The Wetlands Stewardship Act, signed by Governor Matt Meyer on July 21, 2026, establishes Delaware’s first comprehensive state program to protect freshwater wetlands and sets up a regulatory advisory committee to guide implementation. The bipartisan legislation was developed to fill regulatory gaps created by a 2023 U.S. Supreme Court decision that narrowed the scope of federal wetlands protections.

The Meeting Agenda includes discussing additional options developed by the Exceptional Value Wetlands Subcommittee, public outreach efforts, and discussion of three proposed additional subcommittees (Screening Tool, Mitigation and Incentives and Permitting).
