Haille Leija, the Habitat Restoration Manager at the Galveston Bay Foundation, will provide an overview of living shoreline projects in the Galveston Bay, the largest estuary in Texas.

Wetlands and coastal areas in Galveston Bay are impacted by subsidence, hurricanes, and floods. They also face challenges associated with the shipping industry at the Port of Houston, one of the largest ports in United States.

The webinar will focus on the work the Foundation does with local partners and private landowners to install natural erosion control systems and restore important coastal habitat.

The webinar is part of a series from the Delaware Living Shorelines Committee. The webinar is free, but registration is required.
