Join a three-day virtual workshop to learn how to plan effective projects for coastal communities.
It seems simple enough. Start with a good idea and everything else will fall into place. Unfortunately, it rarely works that way.
In this virtual, highly interactive workshop, presented by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management, you will start with your project idea and learn how to design a project that reaches the right audience, has the intended impact and achieves measurable results.
You’ll sharpen your information gathering, project planning and evaluation skills; and walk away with the ability and confidence to build in the accountability and strategic thinking needed to achieve project success.
This training is great for project teams as a group or for individuals to sharpen their skills.
The workshop will take place over three days. There will be a general session on June 25, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On June 26 and 27, there will be pre-scheduled consultation time slots from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and general sessions from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (View full workshop agenda)
This workshop will earn registrants 12 hours towards maintaining certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners or 8 hours towards maintaining certification from the Association of Floodplain Managers.
The training and technical assistance are free, but preregistration is required. The registration deadline is June 7, 2024.
