Join volunteers with Delaware State Parks to plant trees at Trap Pond State Park.

Simple graphic of a young plant in dirt, with a trowel inserted in the dirt.Volunteers and park staff will plant more than 180 trees in the main park area – the campground, Jason Beach and the picnic area as part of a project to plant trees in Delaware’s state parks in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Delaware State Parks system in 2026.

Volunteers will dig holes for saplings and add mulch and protective fending around each young tree.

They will need to wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty, wear closed-toe shoes, bring plenty of drinking water and sunscreen and bring their own lunches or snacks. Gloves and tools will be provided.

The volunteer opportunity is appropriate for those aged 10 and older.

Pre-registration is required.
