Give input on proposed changes to the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Horseshoe Crabs.
The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC), of which Delaware is a member state, will hold a meeting in Dover to gather public input on proposed changes (Horseshoe Crab Draft Addendum IX) to the plan that would allow the ASMFC Management Board to set specifications for male-only harvest of horseshoe crabs for multiple years. Also to be discussed are options for managing male-only harvest limits, seasonal harvest restrictions, and horseshoe crab harvest caps for Maryland and Virginia.
This will be a hybrid meeting, with an in-person option at the Little Creek Hunter Education Training Center and a virtual option, via GoToWebinar.
The Commission will accept public comment at the meeting or online through March 31, 2025.
