The Division of Air Quality will conduct a public hearing (Docket #2026-P-A-0006) on an air quality permit request from Chemours Discovery Hub. Public comment period open through Dec. 23, 2026.

The Division of Air Quality has received an application for a 7 DE Admin. Code 1102 Natural Minor Permit from the Chemours Company FC, LLC – Chemours Discovery Hub (Chemours). Chemours is requesting a permit to construct one Edwards Atlas Thermal Oxidizer unit and associated 3P batch process equipment at 201 Discovery Boulevard, Newark, DE 19713.

The equipment will be permitted to emit 0.63 TPY VOC, 0.70 TPY NO_X, 0.58 TPY CO, 0.01 TPY PM₁₀/PM_2.5, 0.001 TPY SO₂, 0.06 TPY HAPs, 0.75 TPY fluorinated organic compounds (FOCs), and 1 pound per year Hexafluoropropylene Oxide Dimer Acid (HFPO-DA) by the following permits:

• APC-2024/0102-CONSTRUCTION
• APC-2024/0103-CONSTRUCTION
• APC-2024/0104-CONSTRUCTION
• APC-2024/0105-CONSTRUCTION
• APC-2024/0106-CONSTRUCTION
• APC-2024/0107-CONSTRUCTION
