Stop by the New Castle Conservation District office to get a tree that you can plant as part of the Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative (TEDI).
The New Castle Conservation District will give away 500 native trees. Trees will be given out on a first come, first served basis and will be limited to one tree per person.
Seven tree species will be available. Find information on selecting, planting and caring for these trees on the TEDI web page at de.gov/tedi.
The Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative is a collaborative effort involving DNREC, the Delaware Forest Service and other key stakeholders.
Trees will be available between 10 a.m and 1:30 p.m., or until the trees are gone.
