Details:

Learn about some of the winter coastal storms that stand out in Delaware history.

Our eyes may be on spring, but history tells us that we’re not out of winter yet. From the Blizzard of 1888 to the Nor-Easter of 1962, Delaware’s coast has long faced last-minute winter storms that devasted the communities around us.

Join DuPont Nature Center staff as they lead this critical talk on how Delaware’s coastal location has led to intense storm experiences. Learn how these weather events form, their effects on communities and the lessons we continue to take from them.

Note: The Nature Center will only be open for this specific program. It will not be open for visitation all day.
