Listening Session: Ocean and Bay Uses and Resources

Date and Time:
Wednesday, July 12, 2023
5 pm

Location:
Lewes Public Library
111 Adams Avenue
Lewes, Delaware
Details:

Join a public listening session focused on how we use the ocean and the Delaware Bay.

Help guide the development of a Delaware Ocean and Bay Plan. Share how you use the ocean and the bay and what resources and uses are important to you as part of an exploration of the connections between Delawareans and marine areas.

DNREC will take questions and comments about the Ocean and Bay Plan through Aug. 22. The information gathered at the listening session and afterwards will help in developing an outline of a plan to protect Delaware’s marine resources, ecological functions and ocean and bay uses.

This is one of three planned listening sessions. The others are set for June 28, in New Castle, and July 23, in Dover.

While there will be no virtual component, all session materials will be available on the Delaware Ocean and Bay Plan web page. Refreshments will be provided.

Questions can be asked in person at the Listening Session, using an online form on the Plan web page, or in writing to Kristi Lieske at Kristi.Lieske@delaware.gov or via USPS to Kristi Lieske, 100 W. Water St. Ste 7B, Dover, DE 19904.
