Celebrate Earth Month by joining a volunteer cleanup of Concord Pond in Seaford.
Join the DNREC Division of Watershed Stewardship and the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance in removing trash from the park and areas around Concord Pond and Deep Creek.
Meet at the part, at the intersection of Concord Pond Road and Henry Drive, to sign in and pick up provided supplies, including trash bags, gloves and trash grabbers. Feel free to bring your own, if you have them. Water and light snacks will be provided.
This event is rain or shine. Dress for the weather, bring sun screen or rain jackets.
Volunteers will clean the park, both sides of the street down to German Road, and pond-side of German Road to the boat ramp.
This event is free. Pre-registration is required. For volunteers under age 18, a parental consent form must be signed. Contact philip.miller@delaware.gov or samantha.cotten@delaware.gov for parental consent forms (forms will also be available at the cleanup).
