Meeting of a committee advising the Division of Watershed Stewardship on possible changes to the beach protection regulations.

This will be a hybrid meeting with an in-person option in Lewes and a virtual option via TEAMS.

The Division of Watershed Stewardship is considering amendments the Regulation Governing Beach Protection and the Use of Beaches (7 DE Admin. Code 5102).

The proposed amendments are intended to enhance the effectiveness of the Coastal Construction Program and strengthen the protection of Delaware’s the beach and dune system.

The Regulatory Advisory Committee serves to provide guidance and feedback to DNREC on the development of possible amendments.

The regulatory update process began with DNREC Start Action Notice SAN-2025-14.
