The Regulatory Advisory Service includes representatives from each division within DNREC. This group works together to help business leaders find the information they need, when they need it.
The DNREC Small Business Ombudsman can arrange for you to meet with representatives of all DNREC’s divisions that may require environmental permits and other approvals for the business you plan. These are the folks who can tell you everything you need to know about DNREC permits, environmental standards, and procedures. And they know which local government, and federal, agencies you will need to talk to, if needed.
The Regulatory Advisory Service can save you time and effort. Instead of trying on your own to locate all the appropriate environmental requirements and meet with the right people, the Regulatory Advisory Service brings the right people to you, all in one personal meeting. The service can help make sure you don’t have any “uh oh” moments; those terrible moments when you realize that you’ve missed a requirement that could stop your project.
The earlier in your planning process you connect with the Regulatory Advisory Service, the better off you will be and the less likely to have extra expense, effort and headaches.
