Final Plan of Remedial Action for Alpha Shoppes Site (DE-1763)

The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Alpha Shoppes Site located in Wilmington. The Site currently contains a single one-story building used as a strip mall with seven (7) units; however, only two are occupied.

The Site requires Institutional Controls- placement of an environmental covenant limiting groundwater withdrawal and restricting the Site to non-residential uses, and compliance with the Long-Term Stewardship Plan; Long-Term Stewardship Plan-Develop and implement a LTS Plan to periodically monitor indoor air; and a Remedial Action Completion Report.

DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Alpha Shoppes Site on January 19, 2022. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
