Notice has been given that:

Comcast of New Castle, LLC requests permission for the operation of four (4) emergency generators, two (2) rated at 750 kW (1220 HP), and two (2) rated at 1000 kW (1490 HP) at 2215 N. Dupont Highway, New Castle, Delaware. The engines used in these generators comply with USEPA regulations under the provisions of 40 CFR 89, Non-Road Tier II emissions limits. The emergency generators will operate only during emergencies and for the purpose of maintenance checks and readiness testing. Permit: APC-2014/0100-Construction/Operation (750 kW), Permit: APC-2020/0163-Construction/Operation (750 kW), Permit: APC-2014/0010-Construction/Operation (1000 kW), Permit: APC-2014/0011-Construction/Operation (1000 kW).

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending May 25, 2020.  A request for a hearing shall be in writing.  The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
