The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Juniors Auto Parts Site located in Wilmington. The Site has been operating as an automobile salvage/repair facility since the 1990s, and the soil and groundwater is impacted. The Site is to be capped with clean fill material, and an environmental covenant will restrict the use of the Site to commercial/industrial only, and prohibit the use of groundwater at the Site.

DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for Juniors Auto Parts on March 22, 2020.  There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.  Details of the Final Plan are available at the office of DNREC-RS (391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE, 19720), or online at www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
