The Municipal Services Commission has applied for a renewal and modification of its public water allocation which serves approximately 6,000 people in New Castle County. The application includes four existing public wells. The requested allocation is 1.67 million gallons (MG) per day, 48.0 MG per month, and 438.0 MG per year.
Perdue Farms, Inc. has applied for a modification of its Georgetown facility’s industrial water allocation in Sussex County. The application includes one existing industrial well, two existing public wells and one proposed well. The requested allocation is 2.22 MG per day, 66.0 MG per month, and 540.0 MG per year.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by August 26, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
