The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean up the Lidl Grocery Store Site located in Dover, Delaware. The approximately 7.23-acre property consists of six (6) tax parcels with one building and multiple parking lots. The groundwater has been impacted by metals and chlorinated solvents, while the soil gas has been impacted by volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The Site requires removal of USTs and septic system, chemical groundwater treatment, a monitoring plan and an environmental covenant to restrict use of the Site.
Details of the Proposed Plan are available at the office of DNREC (89 Kings Highway, Dover DE 19901), or online at http://www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
The comment period ends on March 4, 2019. For additional information, please contact Rick Galloway, Project Manager at (302)395-2600 or rick.galloway@state.de.us.
