Welcome to the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. We’re glad you are joining us here at DNREC, as we call ourselves. This page will help get you started with us.
… a healthy environment where people embrace a commitment to the protection, enhancement and enjoyment of the environment in their daily lives; where Delawareans’ stewardship of natural resources ensures the sustainability of these resources for the appreciation and enjoyment of future generations; and where people recognize that a healthy environment and a strong economy support one another.
DNREC is a large agency. We cover a lot of ground. We offer Delawareans and visitors to the state great recreational opportunities. We keep them safe while they swim, boat, hunt, fish, watch birds, bike, and more. And we help Delawareans keep their air, land, and water safe and pollution-free.
Take a moment to learn about the several divisions and major programs in the department. They have different goals and objectives, but they all work together to meet the Vision, Mission, Values and Priorities of the department.
Learn about efforts to continually improve how we work together for the good of our clients, the people of the state.
If you haven’t already done so, visit the New Employee Orientation page on the Department of Human Resources web site. Make sure you review your checklists, review statewide policies and do your on-line new employee orientation there.
