Explore the relationship between horseshoe crabs and shorebird populations along the Atlantic Coast in a two-day workshop for teachers.
Green Eggs and Sand is an innovative workshop experience and set of curriculum modules developed by teachers, resource managers, scientists, and stakeholders focused on promoting an in-depth understanding of the issues, science, and management of the shorelines where horseshoe crabs, shorebirds and humans must live together.
This is a two-day workshop, running June 8 and 9. It includes two full days of presentations from horseshoe crab and shorebird experts, hands-on activities and a midnight trip to a horseshoe crab spawning beach on the evening of June 8th.
Workshop participants will receive access to the Green Eggs and Sand curriculum, bring home horseshoe molts and learn from experts in the field.
The workshop fee is $50, it includes meals and workshop materials.
