Come give your input on updating the state’s Climate Action Plan.
The DNREC Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy is gathering input for an update of the Delaware Climate Action Plan. This session provides an opportunity for attendees to share their insights and suggestions on preparing for and addressing statewide climate change impacts.
There will be a variety of activities at this drop-in style session. In addition to learning about actions the state has already taken, participants can help set goals for the plan and share ideas for actions the state should take to meet those goals. State experts on emissions reduction and resiliency will also be on hand to answer questions and share tools and resources with attendees.
This is one of three such sessions. The others are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, and Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the CHEER Community Center in Georgetown.
Visitors can arrive at any time between 4 and 7 p.m., engage with the various informational tables and activities, and learn about other opportunities to be involved in the 2025 Climate Action Plan update. Translation services will be provided at this meeting.
DNREC staff will offer a short presentation, in an adjacent room, that will provide an overview of climate change in Delaware and the timeline for development of the 2025 Climate Action Plan. The presentation will take place at 4:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
Meeting participants interact with a collection of presentation boards and share their feedback. Those unable to attend, can share their thoughts using an online survey.
