Learn about the barn owl nest box monitoring and banding program of the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife.

Join staff from the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve (DNERR) and the Division of Fish and Wildlife to learn about these elusive birds and how the state of Delaware is working to protect them.

Barn owls are one of nature’s greatest beauties but their population numbers are dropping.

Since 1996, the State of Delaware has been banding barn owls, collecting data that can provide researchers with information on migration, behaviors, survival rate and more

This event is free. Registration is required. The program may be made virtual if necessary.
