Details:

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will hold a public hearing on an application by Veolia North America Regeneration Services, LLC, for a permit under the Regulations Governing Delaware’s Coastal Zone to increase production at its Red Lion plant. (Public Comment Period Closed)

Veolia operates the plant, a sulfuric acid regeneration (SAR) facility, on a leased parcel of the Delaware City Refinery in Delaware City, in accordance with DNREC Coastal Zone Act (CZA) Permit #406 and Title V Operating Permit #AQM-003/00673 (Revision 3). It proposes to increase its daily production limit from 550 tons to 750 tons. Veolia is proposing to provide offsetting emission reductions to more than offset the increase in air emissions.
