Join an annual tradition: the Delaware Seashore State Park Sandcastle Contest.

This free, family-friendly event is expected to attract some 30 teams, from in and out of the state of Delaware. They will compete to build award-winning sand castles. There will also be hands-on, beach-themed activities for kids.

Building begins at 9:30 a.m. Judging is at 1:00 p.m. with awards presented shortly after.

The contest is free. Park entry fees are in effect. Pre-registration is not required.
