The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of The Falls Site located in Wilmington. The Site operated as a fabric dying mill from the early 1800’s to 2003. Historical site use required the placement of a protective cap as well as adherence to long-term stewardship plans and a contaminated materials management plan.
DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for The Falls Site on March 22, 2020. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available at the office of DNREC-RS (391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE, 19720) or online at: www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
