The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:
The Town of Middletown, to upgrade the Ash Boulevard pump station located at 730 Ash Boulevard, Middletown, New Castle Country, Delaware, with a trio of pumps and related appurtenances and abandon the 301-pump station located at, 135 Middletown Warwick Road, Middletown, New Castle County, Delaware. The sewer flows from the abandoned 301 pump station will be directed to the upgraded Ash Boulevard pump station, which discharges to Middletown Wastewater Treatment Plant.

A public hearing concerning the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before April 19, 2020. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
