The Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. § 9107 (a)(1), requires the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to provide “public notification within 20 days after entering into negotiations for a voluntary cleanup settlement agreement with any person that agrees to perform a remedy.”
As required by § 9107 (a)(1), DNREC advises that it is negotiating a Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) Agreement with Mountaire Farms Inc. regarding the Daisey Street and Railroad Avenue Site (DE-1716) located at Daisey Street & Railroad Avenue, Frankford, DE. The Site is identified as portions of Sussex County tax parcel number 433-6.18-11.00. The Site requires remedial action due to historic activities on site. For Site-specific information, please see DNREC’s Environmental Navigator at http://www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3.
