The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of Cavaliers Country Club located in Newark. The Site, operating as a golf course dating back to 1958, requires surface soil excavation, blending, and disposal, termination of pumping operations from the Christina River, and a deed restriction for the site, which will include a limitation to groundwater. 

DNREC issued a public notice of the Amended Proposed Plan for the Cavaliers Country Club on September 15, 2019.  There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Amended Proposed Plan.  Details of the Amended Final Plan are available at the office of DNREC-RS located at 391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE, 19720 and online at: http://www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
